What happens between first sample and bulk production
Most delays do not happen in sewing. They happen in the decisions between sample comments, pattern updates, fit confirmation, and material approval.

After the first sample is completed, the real work is often in the review. Fit comments, proportion changes, and construction adjustments need to be translated into updated patterns and sewing instructions before the next round begins.
This is also the stage where fabric substitutions, trim sourcing, and cost balancing begin to affect the final product. A beautiful prototype is useful, but the best development process makes sure the bulk version can still hold the same visual idea.
When teams reply quickly and comments stay organized, the path to bulk becomes much shorter. Good development is not only technical accuracy. It is also the pace and clarity of decision-making.
