How to prepare a clear tech pack for sampling
The fastest sample rounds usually begin with one thing: cleaner information. Here is what brand teams should send before development starts.
A strong tech pack does not need to be complicated, but it does need to remove guesswork. Clear sketches, fabric direction, key measurements, trim callouts, and construction references help the sample room move faster and reduce revision rounds.
If the design includes special details such as lace placement, embroidery, contrast panels, or asymmetric hems, those should be called out separately. Small annotations often save days during development because the factory does not have to infer design intent from a single image.
For new brands, even a simplified pack with reference photos, target measurements, and fit priorities is enough to start well. The goal is not perfection on day one. The goal is to give development, pattern, and sewing teams the same starting point.
